Client Work
Since 2017, HumanWorks™ has partnered with Fortune 500 companies, universities, government agencies, and mission-driven nonprofits to solve real problems in military transition, employer readiness, and organizational culture. A sample of that work:
Amazon — Global Military Recruiting Events
The problem: Low acceptance rate of military-connected applicants coming out of SACC recruiting events.
What we did: Built and delivered a military career conference readiness workshop series for job seekers, plus a Recruiter Readiness Workshop for Amazon's own recruiting teams to build military cultural competency and responsiveness. Four workshops delivered in 2022, four more in 2023.
Morgan Stanley — Military Readiness for Talent Leaders
The problem: Veteran talent wasn't translating into roles at Morgan Stanley the way it should have.
What we did: Delivered Military Readiness training for senior HR and Talent Management leaders, focused specifically on shifting the hiring manager mindset.
MedTechVets — Program Rebuild
The problem: Low enrollment in the Academy and no defined employment pathway for participants once they finished.
What we did: Redesigned the 7-week curriculum, launched a referral program, built a new social media strategy, redesigned the website, streamlined internal processes, increased partner engagement, proposed a sustainability framework, and partnered with the Board of Directors to revise the organization's mission statement.
World Bank — Team Capacity Without Headcount
The problem: Low team productivity inside the Global Practices organization, with no budget to add headcount.
What we did: Recommended a set of actions to increase team capacity and productivity working within the existing budget and team size.
PayPal — Veteran and Diversity Talent Strategy
The problem: Employee engagement gaps, underutilized talent, and unclear self-identification and hiring pathways for veteran and diverse employees.
What we did: Built a Mentor Program, a veteran onboarding program, a D&I Video Speaker Series, and veteran-readiness training for recruiters and hiring managers.

Working with Sara was a turning point during my career transition from the military to civilian life. As a Marine officer, I’ve had the privilege of serving with extraordinary people, but Sara brought something different—an unwavering ability to connect, empathize, relate, and champion on my behalf. Her unique coaching style blended insight through high emotional intelligence and structure with purpose.
Through our purpose-driven conversations, Sara helped me recognize strengths I’d been underusing and guided me toward a future I hadn’t fully envisioned for myself. This may have been the hardest period of my life, even harder than becoming a Marine. Sara didn’t make the process easier—she made it manageable, more grounded, and ultimately more successful.
Sara created a space where I felt seen, understood, and supported, all while holding me accountable to ensure forward progress. I have told my friends and colleagues about her and I will continue to do so. Sara is a coach; a mentor; a genuine friend.
